We are especially proud of our custom WA made dining tables here at our Lifestyle Furniture Osborne Park store, so we thought we’d do a blog specifically focused on helping you choose the perfect dining table for your home.

Star of the Show – Timber

The main dining table attraction, of course, is the table top, and when you buy custom WA Made, there are many options that ensures you get exactly the piece you envision for you home. Our best selling timber is Tasmanian Oak, a beautiful timber that can be clear coated or stained in your choice of colour. We also use Marri, West Australian Balckbutt, jarrah, walnut and many more. For those who prefer other materials, we have solid core veneers and laminates also available in a huge range of colours and finishes.

Finish What You Start – Timber Finishes

The next step is to choose the finish for your timber top. From matte through to high gloss, we have what you need to create your perfect piece. To get technical for a moment, we offer these finishes; 5% gloss acrylic finish, 10% gloss acrylic, 30% polyurethane, 10% or 30% gloss 2pac polyurethane, which all give a different feel and look. We also have a stunning new option, sandblasted, which gives a beautiful matte finish with a blasted “driftwood” look.

From The Ground Up – Steel & Timber Bases

So now you’ve chosen the hero of the show, the table top, you need to choose the workhorse doing all the heavy lifting, the table base. There are so many stylish possibilities these days! We have a range of both wood and steel bases, as well as the ability to custom make any designs you can dream up. So don’t forget how lovely the base of a dining table can be and dream up something only you will have.

Tall and Terrific – Pub Tables

A comfortable bar stool on an outdoor bench at your local pub is without a doubt the best way to spend a sunny afternoon. We have the option to bring this experience to your home with 960mm high ‘pub tables’. Custom made to order, they are slightly higher than a kitchen bench top and perfect for summer evenings around the bbq and pool party entertaining.
